  • Highly Personalized: Each letter is created exclusively for you based on your unique questionnaire responses
  • Intangible and Digital: Our service consists of digital content that is delivered electronically
  • Immediately Consumed: Once the letter is created and delivered, the service has been fully rendered
  • Non-Reproducible: The personalized nature of our service means it cannot be resold or transferred

2. No Refund Policy

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges once your order has been placed.

This policy exists because:

  • Our service involves the creation of custom, personalized content that cannot be resold or reused
  • Significant time, effort, and resources are dedicated to creating each individual letter from the moment your order is received
  • The digital nature of our product means it is delivered instantaneously and cannot be "returned" in any meaningful sense
  • By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and accept this no-refund policy

3. Acknowledgment and Agreement

By placing an order with The Automatic Writing, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that:

  • You have read, understood, and accepted this Refund Policy in its entirety before completing your purchase
  • You understand that our service is provided for entertainment purposes only
  • You are aware that results are subjective and personal satisfaction cannot be guaranteed
  • You waive any right to request a refund, chargeback, or dispute based on subjective dissatisfaction with the content of your letter
  • You consent to the immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed

4. No Guarantee of Specific Results

We make no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding:

  • The accuracy, authenticity, or verifiability of any communications or messages contained in your letter
  • Your emotional response to or satisfaction with the content of your letter
  • Any therapeutic, healing, or psychological benefits you may or may not experience
  • The alignment of the letter content with your expectations or desires

Dissatisfaction with the content, tone, or message of your letter does not constitute grounds for a refund.

5. Limited Exceptions

The only circumstance under which we may consider a refund is:

  • Technical Non-Delivery: If, due to a verified technical failure on our part, your letter was never delivered and we are unable to deliver it within a reasonable timeframe (14 business days from the original delivery date)

To request consideration under this exception, you must contact our support team with proof of non-delivery within 30 days of your purchase date. We reserve the right to first attempt redelivery before considering any refund.

6. Chargebacks and Disputes

By purchasing our service, you agree not to file a chargeback or payment dispute with your credit card company, bank, or payment provider for any reason other than unauthorized use of your payment method.

If you file a chargeback or dispute in violation of this policy:

  • We will provide evidence to the payment processor demonstrating that the service was properly delivered
  • We reserve the right to pursue recovery of the disputed amount plus any associated fees and costs
  • Your access to our services may be permanently terminated
  • We may report fraudulent chargebacks to appropriate authorities and fraud prevention databases

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE AUTOMATIC WRITING, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of profits, revenue, or data
  • Emotional distress or psychological harm
  • Loss of goodwill or reputation
  • Any other intangible losses

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this Refund Policy or your purchase shall be resolved as follows:

  • Informal Resolution: You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting our support team
  • Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association
  • Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action

This Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware for any legal proceedings.
